Sateri's downstream business in China consists of production facilities that use the dissolving wood pulp to produce viscose staple fiber to capture the fast growing consumer market demand seen in China.

In Brazil, our subsidiary BSC operates 150,000 hectares of plantation land, of which approximately 84,000 hectares are planted with eucalyptus, with its own nursery and research centre dedicated to producing high quality raw material (wood fiber) in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
Nearby is our Camaçari mill, with a designed production capacity of 465,000 metric tonnes per annum of dissolving wood pulp, which has recently been increased by a further 20,000 metric tonnes to a total of485,000 metric tonnes. Its product range is one of the broadest in the industry with end uses varying from sunglass frames to cigarette filters, high performance tires, food stuffs, pharmaceuticals, detergents and a number of other items.
Our Sateri Jiangxi mill in China has a production capacity of 130,000 metric tonnes per annum of viscose staple fiber, which is widely used in a variety of textiles (e.g. rayon) and non-woven applications such as baby and household wipes, personal hygiene products, face masks, surgical gowns, medical pads and other absorbent products. In the first six months of 2011, we completed the ramp-up of the two new production lines of our Jiangxi mill ahead of schedule, increasing our annual production capacity from 130,000 metric tonnes to 160,000 metric tonnes.
Sateri (Fujian) is a greenfield viscose staple fiber production facility under development, located in Meizhouwan North Shore Harbor Industrial Zone, Putian, Fujian province.
