Sateri capitalizes on vertical integration and strategic locations to redefine competitiveness and sustainability.
Celluloid (the ancestor of cellulose) was first created in 1856. Today its most common use is for table tennis balls.
The first-prong focuses on our shift towards the specialty grade pulp market to reduce our exposure to market cyclicality. Specialty grade pulp has a higher barrier of entry and a more stable and upward price trend. In only a few years, we are already the number two player in the world. Our second-prong relies on our unique fully integrated model. A captive timberland planted with fast growing Eucalyptus trees ensures a secure upstream supply of dissolving wood pulp in Brazil, combined with downstream viscose staple fiber production in China, provides Sateri with higher margins and stability across the value chain even during market volatility.
