Maximizing resources and finding new ways to meet customer needs.
20% of our plantation land is reserved for High Conservation Value Forests (HCVF)
The R&D program begins with the eucalyptus trees in our plantation in Brazil, where ongoing research and trials for new and improved seedlings enable us to grow trees that are best suited to prevail the local soil and climate conditions. This ensures fast growth with an optimal harvest period of only six to seven years compared with other locations throughout the world, with harvest periods up to 50 years.
We also optimize tree seedling selection and cloning to produce specific fiber properties which result in high quality dissolving wood pulp.
This gives Sateri an excellent combination of fiber quality and quantity from our plantation.
Our company concentrates its R&D on improving the quality of both dissolving wood pulp and viscose staple fiber, increasing the production efficiency of our mills and expanding our product offering to clients in order to meet their changing requirements.
