Celluloid (the ancestor of cellulose) was first created in 1856. Today its most common use is for table tennis balls.

Sateri has a fully vertically integrated business that ensures the company is cost competitive, providing us with industry leading margins and greater stability in earnings. Our upstream business in Brazil consists of secure renewable plantation resources and state-of-the-art dissolving wood pulp production facilities, while our downstream business in China, uses dissolving wood pulp to produce viscose staple fiber to meet the fast growing market demand in China.
